The WI
The Women’s Institute was set up in 1915 to support the women’s contribution during WW1. In 2005 it celebrated its 90th birthday with 208,000 members.
The WI focuses on educating its members and teaching new skills, as well as campaigning towards local and political issues, supporting numerous charitable causes and raising issues of social situations.
