"I am one who frequents a particular place, especially a place offering a specific pleasurable activity or meaning."

These are images taken from my final project. Taking the Narrative from the original Briar -Rose (Sleeping Beauty) from the brothers Grimm fairytales.

This is currently a work in progress and with the addition of Arduino, Pulse sensors, Light resistors, Potentiometers, MP3 players, and Motorised gear systems I really hope I can bring the story to life!

Playing with Arduino. Mad Lab workshop, twitter related code and LEDs controlled by light sensors. I find listening to some palatable Hip-Hop helps me get to grips with this Tom Foolery AKA Jiggery Pokery AKA Hocus Pocus AKA Innovative Technology. Just saying.

Red riding hood. Playing with paper, how the scene will work, thinking of how/where/what arduina to add….

I wanted to bring my writing a little bit more to life so I selected quotes from Fairytales from my research and cut them out to act as chapter points. I Hope it adds a bit more excitement to turning the page!!

Experiment into making the Cranes eyes light up!

Some images from the MMU special collections, Book design and childrens’ book library. Research into paper engineering!

This is part of a piece of work that I did, I set up the feathers to embroider from illustrated vector files.

I went to the special collections library at MMU to photograph books as part of my research. More to follow….

Here are some experiments I have been doing for my final piece, eventually they will be interactive paper forms.
